Bowers Gourmet Sausages
Growing up as a kid I always had an appreciation and interest in food...so it came as no surprise to the people that know me the best when I became a sausage maker going through a European style apprenticeship. I was taught to maintain and merchandise chicken, meat, and marinade cases. The next step in the process was sausage making, an intrigual part of running a full service meat department. Making use of all the trimmings that are left from top quality roasts, steaks, chops that we all know and love. Fortunately for me I was kept in this position for a while longer than expected which is where i would finish my apprenticeship and develop my love and passion for sausage making.
Everything in life happens for a reason...so when the company I was working for began cutting back the hours, I saw it as an opportunity to do what I had always dreamed of...be an entrepreneur and start my own company.
I immediately began developing a few recipe ideas that I knew would be a hit, coupled with some of the staple recipes in the sausage world. In the Summer of 1997, I would take a giant leap of faith and leave my other position...and so began the BOWERS GOURMET SAUSAGE COMPANY.
